“One minute he was fine and BOOM–the next minute he was dead!”That’s how people often describe it when someone suddenly drops dead of a heart attack.Puts a little “adventure” in each day, huh?
According to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), the top cause of death in the US continues to be heart disease.
“Heart disease” includes coronary heart disease, heart attack, congestive heart failure and congenital heart disease.
But with the exception of congenital heart disease (meaning you’re born with it), heart disease doesn’t just pop out of nowhere.
It’s created over time.
You see, the main cause of heart disease is atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries). And that is created slowly, methodically, day after day and year after year.
Here’s what happens–let’s take a peek inside your arteries:
The creation of atherosclerosis
Stage 1: A little artery wall damage
Just like anything else, your arteries endure normal “wear and tear.” There are often signs of minor abrasions in the arteries of people as young as 20.
High blood pressure is also a culprit. The force of your blood being pumped through your blood vessels can cause serious damage to the walls of your arteries over time. And if your blood is a bit thick due to abuse, well…
Stage 2: Inflammation
Once an artery becomes damaged, it sounds the alarm for your body’s repair system, which is made up of platelets and white blood cells.
Although these substances are supposed to promote healing, if the damage continues, they “go too far” and instead create pockets of inflammation in your arteries.
Stage 3: Enter cholesterol
Inflammation in your arteries provides the spot where cholesterol builds up.
LDL (bad) cholesterol is transported inside white blood cells called macrophages through your arteries and is “dropped off” at one or more of your inflammation pockets.
Stage 4: Plaque buildup
This is where large amounts of LDL cholesterol have begun accumulating along the walls of your arteries.
Stage 5: Serious blockage…and hello heart disease
This is where your coronary arteries are so clogged with plaque that they’re squeezing off the blood supply to your heart. Hello heart disease.
Note that if a blood clot finds its way to a clogged coronary artery and completely shuts it off, you have a heart attack. If this happens in a vessel that brings blood to the brain, it’s a stroke.
Prevent being a statistic
While the process I’ve just described is rather grim, in addition to quitting smoking, maintaining a healthy weight and exercising, there are three VERY effective measures you can take to help prevent becoming a statistic.
And not only make it into your golden years, but be able to enjoy them as well!
1- Be a good home for your heart
All of your organs were designed to function in an alkaline environment, and that especially includes your heart.
Your heart pumps an astounding 13,000 quarts of blood a day. If there are lots of toxins in that blood, your heart is under a tremendous strain. Plus, acid wastes in your system rob your blood of oxygen, and that causes your heart tissue to deteriorate.
So it’s essential to keep your pH as alkaline as possible and minimize the toxins flowing through your blood. Your life may literally depend on it.
The good news is that it’s not difficult.
The Great Taste No Pain manuals will show you exactly what to do.
“How To End Stomach Pain Forever, Even If Your MD Says, ‘No Way!'” teaches you the simple principles of smart food pairing which helps prevent accumulation of acid wastes.
“Foods That Create Acid, Foods That Take It Away” spells out which foods are inherently acid-waste culprits and which are alkaline so there’s no guesswork.
And “What To Eat With What” tells you exactly what to pair with all of your favorite foods to make them easily digested, including meats, pastas, grains, dairy, bread and vegetables.
Eating for a more alkaline pH couldn’t be easier…or better for your heart.
2- Get enough omega-3 essential fatty acids
Omega-3 fatty acids have shown to be an important tool to help fight heart disease in these ways:
* They’ve been medically proven to help lower blood pressure. Studies show that minimal daily fish oil supplementation alone can lower your systolic (the top number) pressure by five points or more and your diastolic (the bottom number) pressure by three points or more!
* Omega-3 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory properties, which may help counteract any inflammation you might have building up in your arteries.
* They help reduce dangerous LDL cholesterol.
* Omega-3 fatty acids help raise HDL (good) cholesterol levels.
* They also help keep blood clots from forming by reducing the stickiness in your platelets and curbing the production of fibrinogens — protein strands that can get tangled up with platelets and result in a clot.
Problem is, most people in developed countries are seriously lacking in omega-3 fatty acids.
So one of the best ways to help support your heart is to take a very high-quality fish oil supplement.
Like VitalMega-3.
The suggested 2-capsule daily serving packs a whopping 1,200 mg. of EPA, DHA and other Omega-3 fatty acids in the same pure, potent form you’d get directly from fish itself.
Plus the oils in VitalMega-3 go through a molecular distillation process that removes heavy metals like mercury and PCB’s — so it’s far safer than eating fish itself.
3- The B12 connection
Vitamin B12 has many important functions, including forming your DNA and helping your body generate energy.
But it also plays a HUGE role in heart health.
Vitamin B12 helps keep levels of the amino acid homocysteine in check, which experts believe may help decrease heart disease risk.
It’s also essential to the production of red blood cells, which carry oxygen through the blood to the body’s tissues, thereby helping to prevent the heart deterioration caused by low blood oxygen levels.
Problem is, approximately 1 out of 4 adults is deficient in B12 and doesn’t even know it.
What makes that worse is that B12 is one of the most difficult vitamins for your GI tract to absorb. So even if you’re eating sources of B12 and/or supplementing with vitamin pills, you still may be seriously lacking in this natural heart disease prevention.
Hydroxaden 2.5 can help turn that around for you quickly and easily.
Hydroxaden 2.5 is a convenient vitamin B12 spray that gives you a daily dose of the most powerful form of vitamin B12 (hydroxocobalamin).
Just five little sprays under your tongue each day give you a full 2.5 mg. of B12 (that actually gets into your blood stream) to boost your energy, help sharpen your mind and enhance your immune system.
In addition to a crucial dose of vitamin B12, Hydroxaden 2.5 also gives you niacin (vitamin B3), vitamin B6, riboflavin (vitamin B2), plus a blend of herbs including ginseng, rosemary and blueberry.
All of these nutrients working together in harmony support sharper mental function, stronger immune health, a healthier overall metabolism and…
Protection for your heart.
Heart disease is nothing to take lightly.
And the biggest mistake you can make is thinking that it can’t happen to you.
It can. It didn’t get to be the number one killer by affecting just a few.
Do all you can to keep this killer far away from you.
Your body will say thank you, and so will your loved ones.
To your health. |
